| v | Membership How do I join?____________________________ Membership is free to all permanent residents. All you need to do is produce some identification with your permanent adress on, and complete an enrolment card at the library. If you are under 16, your parent or guardian needs to sign your enrolment card. Young people over 16 who are living independently are required to provide the name and telephone number of a reliable adult contact person. Visitors or residents of hotels, motels or caravan parks are asked to pay a refundable deposit of $20 for provisional membership. How many items can I borrow?______________ Regular adult and junior members can borrow 10 items for 3 weeks. New members can borrow 4 items. After six months, they can apply to have this upgraded to 10 items. How long can I keep library items?________ All items may be borrowed for a period of three weeks. Renewals may be made in person or by phone or email, and will normally be granted, unless an item is reserved for another borrower. What is available?________________________ There are thousands of books for adults, young people, children and babies, large print books, paperbacks, magazines, newspapers, videos, CDs, DVDs and kits in the library collection, plus access to electronic sources. There are books on many subjects; e.g., crafts, computers, pets, farming and Australian history. Regular exchanges keep the library stocks fresh and up-to-date. Copyright 2005-2008 Chinchilla Library
